Q2 Week 1

The movie I chose to watch is Spy Kids 2 The Island Of Lost Dreams The first Mise-en-scene of this movie is the setting. The setting is a mysterious island that is not able to be found with even the most high tech of technology. The island is made this way because of what is going on in the island like the ancient ruins with skeletons that move and the giant volcano that is surrounded by equal part desert and palm trees with tropical types setting with giant moutains everywhere to show how hug the island is. The setting is created this way in order to really give this island the mysterious/magical feel to it and to show the importance of how all technology is shut off when in radius of the island so that is in known by not many people or few people.  The next Mise-En-scene is Lighting. Overall the whole movie is very bright because it Is mostly outside walking around the island. Of course this being basically a tropical island the sun is going to be a very strong factor. But certa...

This scene in the movie "The Avengers" is a leitmotif because as leitmotif is defined ( a recurrent theme throughout a musical or literary composition, associated with a particular person, idea, or situation.) this scene shows a recurring theme and music which is the avengers music and also the dramatic camera angle to show how the avengers are high in power and are unified and are going to battle. The Avengers are the hero's so the camera angle is showing that and to show how much of a impact they are going to have on the movie. This occurs throughout all of the avenger movies to really show how it is a leitmotif. In the movie "American sniper" actor  Bradley Cooper is in a sniper hide out in Iraq town when they are watching a building where terrorist acts have been taking place from and    terrorist  have been coming from at the same time other U.S Military soldiers are marching through the town when a car comes driving towards them. The soldiers kill the...

I know the edit it contrast because it is showing the difference between how the bus was quiet and people were sleeping to every body loud and happy and just having fun. This is a symbolism because it shows me before my game wearing the number 24 and me during my game with the number 24 on to show the relationship between the number being the same but in different scenes and areas. This is simultaneously because it is showing how I am comfortable in bed than at the same time outside all hell is broke loose and it is crazy outside. This is Parallelism because it is showing the similarities to a human walking on the beach and a dog walking on his two feet. This is leitmotif because it is a scene that occurs often with the same music in the background.

week 4 assignment

In this part of planes it shows the Army veteran Skipper (who trains/trained dusty the main character) on his last and only mission. In this Over the shoulder shot it shows skipper leading his group of soldiers into what seemed to be one enemy ship to take out but really it was the whole enemy fleet and skipper and his soldiers basically flew right into their own demise. This scared skipper into never flying again. This shot making it a over the shoulder shot makes me feel like I'm actually there and makes me feel sad on what is going on. This close up shot is showing Ripslinger the "villian" of the movie crushing a "air pad" of dusty flying amazing. This shows how Ripslinger is starting to get jealous at dusty for his success in flying. This foreshadows the event that happens where Ripslingers crew purposely breaks dustys antenna to get him lost and ends up on a Navy ship. Which end up leading to dusty almost drowning and dying because of the really bad weath...

week 3 assignment

Jennifer Bachman  pan shot: I found this shot funny and how he ripped his badge off when he was supposed to be wearing it. Also haven't seen much of the pan shot. Head on shot: I found this shot enjoyable because instead of the actor coming towards the camera it was a object. low angle shot: I like how it was of the actor doing a action instead of the regular low angle shot where its just there to make the actor look scarier and bigger. Emma Needles Long shot: This shot is cool because it was in slow mo and I also enjoyed the how it showed you at the pool. cameo shot: I never knew this was a type of shot and what it was until now and I also like how I have not seen no one use it. high angle shot: This shot is enjoyable because it really is the definition of a high angle shot and is showing a lot of your surroundings.
